Australia: Import declaration for ocean freight
The Australian Government has made some changes to their policy for the minimum documents required for processing import consignments.
The main change is to the Packing Declaration and we request you to adjust your files accordingly and make use of the Single Packing Declaration and Annual Packing Declaration for all exports to Australia. Failure to do so, will result in delays in delivery, mandatory inspections with possible fumigation/unpacks and eventually additional costs.
Current Annual Packing Declarations will still be valid until their expiry date and existing declarations will be accepted for current shipments that have either arrived or are in transit.
